Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Status Update on Black Friday Commissions

Hey all, first off, if you're interested in getting any awesome art from Steven E Gordon  Check out my previous journal entry. He has some awesome pieces for sale and the price range is between $50 - $100 (+Shipping) USD. Give the journal entry a look.

Now, I've had a few people curious about if I had shipped everything out yet. Or part of the items I've done for Black Friday. The answer is No, I haven't.

Now don't get freaked out. The reason for this is rather simple. At least to me it makes sense. I want to get all the commissions done, so I can take one trip on one tank of gas to my friend's house and have us scan the pieces, save them on a thumbdrive (we'll have to do two versions of scans. High Rez and Low Rez). After I get them scanned, I'll package everything up to their respective owners, and drive to the post office, stand in line for about 45 minutes, then take another 20 minutes to instruct the jackass behind the counter what to do and where the packages go. (I call the person behind the counter a jackass because I always have had nothing but trouble shipping stuff to people. It's just one of many things a freelance artist must do though and I am grateful for those that want commissions from me. So it's not a big deal. Everything gets shipped eventually, even if I am a little bloody after the encounter.)

Anyways... I am very sorry for the delay. I've talked to all of you and you're very understanding and very patient and I thank you for that. I'm working as fast as I can, when I can, to get everything finished. Today, being a snow day in Omaha Nebraska, I'll be in doors most of the day and that means... drawing and coloring YAY!

I'm going to go down the list from Black Friday... even stuff that was done on the show, to show level of completion.

So as you can see, I have ... what... 3 items left to do? All good sized pieces. I'm hoping to get them finished this weekend, scanned by Tuesday at least, and mailed off Wednesday or Thursday. I will insure these packages and since only one item has to be sent over the border... I obviously see none of you having to pay to get your mail like they do in the UK. Guess we can be thankful for that... for now.

That's about it, I'm going to grab some breakfast and get cleaned up, then back to the board and inking the 11x17.

Thanks for your patience guys. Going as fast as I can for ya. Don't give up hope just yet lol.
